We are working on getting the Tram in Hell Paso to let mountainbikes go up in the tram.. There are nice downhill trails on the west side of the mountain.. We are working on gettin approval for trail fixing on the east side.. If this goes through , it will be the FIRST and only lift accessed mtbing in Texas !! We will keep you updated !! Banshee will be represented here !! The new Legend is AWESOME !!!

We are also doing an endurance gravity series w/ 3 races starting in april in Albq. Nm.. I will have more info as we get closer.. go to our forum and post some of your ideas on how to run a race.. Its going to be a serious FOR FUNN racing series.. We will have NORBA points awarded , prizes and CASH payout !! I am going to make this a really funn dealio to come to.. Hola from North Mexico !! Its going to be great to go ride some big mountain soon.. We are working on a gondola lift for bikes here in Hell Paso .. They are not budging !! Argh .. Well IT WAS AWESOME !! Great weather and lots of FUNN !! Our weekend started w/ a non working 4x4, ARGH.. Kinda sety me back.. Got that taken care of and the rest went fairly smooth.. We had 2 hurt backs and a bunch of scrapes n bruises... The mountaingods are happy.. We had about 30 riders from all over.. Chihuahua Mx., Juarez Mx., Albq. NM., Austin Tx., Las Cruces NM., Boulder Colo., Denver Colo., Artesia NM., Ruidoso NM., and a few Hell Paso locals..

The Balls, Legs n Lungs was RAD !! We had nine contestants to torture !! 1st = Mighty Mo w/ 31 min time.. 2nd = Dueling Dan Came in 4 min behind .. 3rd = Raging Rob Came in 3min after that !! Thank you all that came , saw , kicked some ass !! Next year same place same time..

The after Party was GREAT !! The punk/ska band Brown Paper Bag(on myspace) rocked out for a few of us.. They will be back next year.. It will be bigger n better next year.. 12hr DH Redbull Burner !!

Well yall I started really well.. My Banshee scythe was awesome !! It ran flawless .. I made 18 runs in 7 1/2 hrs. and then my knuckles gave out.. I am a big wuss.. Rohan from Silver City NM took 3rd place in expert men solo.. Our other friend Steve H. didnt fare as well , he ended up breaking his ankle on his 11th run , ARGH !! After dark there were only about 12 riders or so.. This was a GREAT race and my scythe was awesome !! Cant wait till the RedBull Rampage next year !! They are doin the Rampage n Burner opposite years.. I will return to the burner for a redemption.. Keep an eye here for Roughrider updates.. peaceout Yo's !!

Yesturday we went out and took some pictures. Issac is stepping it up again with his new line. The lips are huge and the hangtime is awesome. The Wheel Connection dirt jump comp is coming up on Halloween and the whole park will be dialed. There will a crew out this entire month making sure the area is in tip top shape. It was nice n cool out on friday so we hit the jump park.. It was good riding.. Seems like more n more people are coming out.. Every day ther are newb's.. Thats what its for.. There were about 15 people out.. I live 50 miles away, but make it over there whenever possible, still LOTS to do, its only starting !! We are going to build 50 more jumps and skinnies w/ some drops n stuff, keep an eye !! Thanx to Isacc , Zack , Charlie n tha crew for helping out ALOT !! Banshee Amp 4x, DS, DJ build

Banshee Amp, new ride. James set me up with the frame, I ordered some new parts, moved some old parts over, and now it's finally built and tuned. I'll spare you the usual Amp comments (light, easy to manual, good tire clearance, etc..) and get to some stuff not often mentioned. What stands out most is the chainline. One drive side spacer for the XT bottom bracket and a set of the thicker spacers that came with the e-13 LG1+ chainguide and the chain is perfectly straight when centered in the cassette. This might not seem like a big deal, but it really makes the bike ride smooth and noiseless (because the chain isn't rubbing on either side of the chainguide) in every gear. The front chainring only clears the chainstay by about 1-2mm using a 36t, so it looks real clean/precise. Of course is you are running single speed like most, none of this matters :) Another subtle detail, running an 80mm fork actually drops the nose just slightly. In other words, with an 80mm fork the chainstays run a slight decline from the rear wheel to the bottom bracket which means a 100mm fork would be perfect but you could get away with 120-140mm fork without feeling like you were already doing a wheelie. Lastly, although generic, the seatclamp works as supposed to and looks clean and the internal headset is deffinetly a plus. Going to ride at the jumps/pump track now, laters.

Hello from Hell Paso.. Here is the new stead and older stead.. Sold my Banshee Scream (reluctant to do it ) but the new Scythe is RAD !! It rides soooo nice !! I have not figuered out the rear shox yet but the ride was a step up and a half from the scream.. They both have a VERY stiff pedaling !! The scythe is a bunch lighter , even w/ my heavy components.

The scratch is a good bike as well.. Its made like an abrams tank !! You could run over a bear and win !! Its a great 24' bike !! I am super glad I have one.. They dont make'em anymore.. Soon to have my AMP built , so keep an eye here !! peace

There will be registration the day of the race beginning at 7:00 am and will close 30 minutes prior to start time. Start times are subject to change depending on enrollment and will be assigned and announced morning of race.
Course: Course is a 2 ¼ mile downhill trail in the Gila National Forest located at on the Signal Peak Mountain outside of Silver City, NM. There will be transportation for riders and there bikes to the top of the trail.
Directions: From Silver City, take HWY 180 to N. Pinos Altos Rd, which becomes NM 15 in approximately 2 miles. Take NM 15 for approximately 5 miles to arrive in Pinos Altos. Continue on NM 15 for approximately 15 miles to arrive at base of Signal Peak.

The weather WAS AWESOME !! Yall missed out.. The grand opening weekend is June 6th-7th 2009 !! The trails are in great shape.. Thanx to Rich and the Bikeworks Albuquerque crew, the new race trail was the BEST racecourse, a few more jumps would be cool.. The Pajarito ski guys closed early both days , so we kinda got screwed , but it was a great time anyway.. The Santa Fe and Albuquerque guys throw a great time and great trails.. The Pit has a bunch of great jumps also.. We went on sunday after the race.. Yall need to get up there soon as possible !! Saturday Nov.22nd the El paso/Las Cruces Roughriders would like to invite anyone interested to join us for a full day of riding. We're gonna start off in the morning with a run down Baylor Pass. Baylor Pass is a killer 4-mile downhill that takes you over the Organ Mountains. It includes some gnarly rock gardens, trecherous switchbacks and not to mention the stunning views. After that we plan on moving the party to the new Los Pinchi's freeride area. Pinchi's boasts some flowy lines, some killer step ups and downs and some downright cool jumps. For those diehard downhillers there is a super awesome downhill trail that starts at the top of A-mountain and concludes right into the freeride area.Also an after party is in the planning stages but it's too soon to give any details. Come join us, it's gonna kick ass.

Its was awesome !! The trails are in rad shape.. A couple Santa Fe and Albuquerque guys came and built some new stunts as well.. Almost all the Roughriders were there !! It was a GREAT time !! There was a guy came from San Antonio and he had a good time.. This will be going on next year too, just a bit more organized and a bit bigger..
